A man picks rubbish in the the Dandora rubbish dumpsite in the capital Nairobi, Kenya, February 20, 2018. According to the UN Environment agency, the handling of waste from various industrial and domestic activities are major contributors to environmental pollutants that pose risks to human health. High levels of toxic heavy metals have been found in soil samples in Dandora. In addition, 50 percent of children living close to the dumpsite have been found having high levels of lead in their blood.
